What is Yarn Over by Devika?

Yarn Over by Devika is a mother–daughter handmade studio based in Bangalore, India. We specialise in macramé, crochet and beadwork, creating premium handcrafted décor, accessories and bespoke gifts using pure cotton yarn and traditional techniques.

Are all your products handmade?

Yes. Every piece is 100 percent handmade using slow-craft techniques. Slight variations in colour, size and texture are natural and are considered part of the charm of artisanal products.

What types of products do you offer?

We offer a wide range of handmade products, including:

  • MacramĂ©: wall hangings, car charms, keychains, earrings, wristlets and accessories
  • Crochet: home decor, coasters, runners, blankets, pillow covers, wearables, bags and pouches
  • Beadwork: beaded bracelets, earrings, phone charms, mini charms and ID tag accessories
  • Festive & Seasonal: Christmas ornaments, gifting sets and dĂ©cor
  • Bespoke: custom-designed macramĂ© and crochet gifts for special occasions

Do you take custom or personalised orders?

Yes. We gladly accept custom orders for colours, sizes, quantities, event gifts and special designs. Bespoke orders may require additional time depending on complexity.

What materials do you use?

We primarily use pure cotton yarn, premium beads, wooden rings, metal hardware and sustainable materials wherever possible. All fibres are chosen for quality, softness and durability.

How long does it take to process an order?

Standard orders take 3–7 working days to process.
Custom or bulk orders may require 7–14 working days, depending on the design.

How long does shipping take?

Delivery across India typically takes 3–8 working days after dispatch. Remote locations may take slightly longer.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we ship only within India. International shipping can be arranged for select orders upon request. Please contact us for details.

What are your shipping charges?

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Charges for bulk orders may differ. Some products may have a flat shipping rate.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You will receive tracking details via email, WhatsApp or SMS once your order has been dispatched.

What is your return policy?

We offer returns within 15 days of delivery.

  • You must contact us within 15 days of receiving your order.
  • Items must be unused, unwashed and in original condition.
  • Custom or personalised items are not eligible for returns.
  • Customers must ship the product back at their own expense.
  • Once we receive and inspect the item, we issue a refund.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. Refunds are processed once we receive and approve the returned product.
Note: Payment gateway fees (Razorpay/PayU transaction charges) are deducted from the refund amount.

How do exchanges work?

Exchanges follow the same eligibility as returns. Once the original product is received and inspected, a replacement will be shipped.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your product arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours with photos or a video. We will replace or resolve the issue based on the situation.

Are handmade items exactly the same as the photos?

There may be small variations in colour and detailing due to yarn dye lots, lighting and the handmade process. These are natural and make each item unique.

How should I care for my macramé or crochet items?

  • Handwash gently in cold water
  • Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Keep away from sharp edges
  • Spot clean beaded items only

Do you accept bulk or corporate orders?

Yes. We create bulk gifts for weddings, corporate events, baby showers, party favours and festive gifting. Custom colour palettes and branding options are available.

Can I request colour customisation?

Absolutely. Most macramé and crochet items can be customised in any colour available in cotton yarn. Beaded items may have limited colour variation depending on bead stock.

Are your products sustainable?

Yes. We work with pure cotton yarn, minimised waste practices, slow-craft techniques and durable designs that last for years. Many pieces are made from responsibly sourced or locally produced materials.

Do you have a physical store?

We currently operate as an online studio from Bangalore. Customers in Bangalore may request viewing or pickup by appointment.

What makes Yarn Over by Devika different from mass-produced brands?

Our pieces are slow-made, ethically crafted and created with artisan-level attention to detail. We do not mass-produce anything – each item carries the warmth and intention of the maker’s hand.
